The first week of semester 2 has been an okay time… compared to the previous semester… the subjects are on average less boring… For the engineering side of the semester… I’ve got Applied Mathematics which is a continuation from the previous semester’s Maths and Civil Engineering Introduction which is so far basically all reading stuff… the subject is basically the history and theory stuff about civil engineering… kinda weird actually… Then there is the commerce side which I have Introductory Macroeconomics and Quantitative Methods… I have to say that Micro is much more interesting compared to Macro… or at least the lecturer is… and so far the only thing I know about QM is that the lecturer is British and he will reward the person who finds him the most dodgy statistics article… But all in all… it been pretty okay… Cheers…

Actually I have to admit I only wanted to watch this show because Chris Noth is in it… I think most of you won’t know who that is… He is “Mr. Big” in Sex & The City… He’s so gorgeous… Anyway… it’s about this girl, Holly (Hilary Duff), who has been subjected to moving all around the country because of her mother… whom everytime she gets heartbroken… and it happens pretty often… would move to a new place… Her latest location is Brooklyn and she’s sick of moving… So she decides to invent the prefect man to keep her mother preoccupied… But one lie leads to another and things get out of control… Well like all the other Hilary Duff movies… it’s not been a hit… An okay movie to watch but not worth going to the theatre for…

Oh I absolutely love the story and the movie has done it justice… Everyone should already know the story of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory… if you don’t… I’m shocked!!! Well I just really love the story and so it really doesn’t matter who’s in it… but I think Johnny Depp made Willy Wonka really cute and funny… and slightly scary… Definitely recommended for everyone and anyone… My absolute favorite part was the glass elevator… very cool… Though…some parts of the story differed from the book… but it worked… So yeah… another summer movie to catch… Cheers…

I’m not sure if you have seen the old Herbie movies… I think there is more than one… But I remember watching one… The new addition is about a girl, Maggie, the girl in the famous Peyton legacy… The Peytons have been known to be great NASCAR racers… but since an accident some time ago during a street race… Maggie’s father banned her from racing again… Now she is the first Peyton to graduate from college and is bound to work for ESPN… However things change when her father decides to get her a graduation present… a new old car… where she found the once great racing sensation Herbie, a little bug… Being a proud little racing car that Herbie is… he got Maggie into a challenge with the current NASCAR champion and won… After that things evolved into Maggie racing for the family NASCAR team… Finally realizing her racing passion and legacy… A nice family movie to watch on the weekends with friends and family… with some popcorn… Ok so it isn’t the best movie I’ve seen… but it a Disney… it’s fun… it’s funny… who can ask for anything more… Cheers…

I was rather disappointed with this particular summer movie… I thought the storyline lacked substance and the whole movie itself wasn’t very entertaining… I really don’t know what to say about it… maybe except that I think Nicole Kidman did a good job with the nose wiggling… Hahaha…

I very much enjoyed this movie… and I think that it suffered a lack of publicity… It’s a shame really because I think the messages, though a little tacky, are really touching… and I think the movie is really touching… Basically it’s about this 4 best friends who are 4 rather different people but they have been through everything together… But that summer they were all heading off on their own to do their own stuff and before they went off they found a pair of pants that mysterious managed to fit them all… So they decided to share the pair of jeans where they each have it for a week… At first it seemed that all the jeans brought them was bad luck but then they realized that it was really changing their lives to what they have always hoped it would be and give them strength to confront their fears… So yeah I think if you’ve got the chance go watch it because I think it’s a pretty decent movie… Cheers…

In all my years of flying… which is for about 10 years… I had the second worst flight yesterday on my way back to Melbourne… First delay… then my entertainment system was rather crap… then loads of turbulence… but that’s a natural thing so it cannot be blamed… then the landing was really terrible… I think the pilot must have been new… My worst ever experience was on American Air… man that was terrible… but that was very long ago… when everyone still had to share one single screen at the front of the section… So yeah… I’m really disappointed with MAS… But considering this was one out of the many MAS flights I’ve had… I can’t hold it against them… Cheers…

No worries everyone… this is NOT A SPOILER… just a general review… So in book 5 (Harry Potter & The Order Of The Phoenix) we were left wondering “what now” after the wizarding community FINALLY realize that “He Who Must Not Be Named” is really back… Now in book 6… we are introduced to a rather shocking yet not unexpected secret of one of the members of the order which might shake things up a little… and also a rather important character only to be known as the “Half-Blood Prince” until the very end of the book… this character seemed to be helping Harry in school quite a lot but then things took a turn for the worst… Harry also becomes more and more annoying in the sense that he is even more impatient than ever to get rid of Lord Voldermort and solve his little mysteries… Harry also depends less on his two compatriot whom we have seem helped him out so much throughout his time in Hogwarts and most importantly… the book tells of the many different and yet very much influential “relationships” between the characters of the story… My overall view of the book… much better than the previous book… It seems that Rowling is regaining her flair slightly… and with that I’ll leave you to read the book on your own… Cheers…
