Mid semester holidays officially started last Friday on Good Friday and so we, my housemates, their friends and I, decided to take a little trip to the zoo to visit my friend’s family, nah just kidding… So anyway the admission fee was AU$14.95 for students… that is like RM45 to visit the zoo!! Gasp!! But it was ok… I mean once in awhile you got to just do something like this right?!

This wild cat kept walking or rather pacing in a circle so fast that I could hardly catch a decent picture…

Maybe you would’ve noticed that most of the animals I took have their backs to me… Yeah well I think they are really sick of humans already…

Cute giant tortoises!!

Lizard salad?!

Brotherhood… hahaha…

Man I love the colour of this snake!! Gorgeous!

Can you see the frog? View the larger image… his eyes are huge…

About a minute after I took this picture, the giraffe stood up… and shat… hahahaha

Did you know Koalas sleep 19 hours everyday!!!

I was so disappointed that this was all I got to see of the wombats… actually I couldn’t see them at all because it was pitch black… I had to take a picture with night mode… and this is all I got…

The kangaroos seemed rather tired…

Emu!!

The pelicans later went a little berserk… FREAKED ME OUT!!!

The Orang Utans did not want to socialize…

Neither did the monkeys…

These birds are also known as love birds… hahaha

After a long day… everyone was exhausted…

This is a late entry really… The Moomba Festival was held last week and my housemates and I along with their bunch of friends went to watch fireworks at the festival last Saturday (12th I think)… and the fact was that… almost EVERYONE was there… those of you who are in Melbourne would know exactly what I mean… It was like total chaos… but it was great… the fireworks were a treat… I wanted to put up some video clips of the fireworks but couldn’t get through to my host… Anyway I didn’t really do anything else at the festival but it was just the place to be… If you want to know what it’s really like you can visit Eileen’s blog… ;P The picture above and two below are of the Yarra riverbank which was where the Moomba was held… Yeap so all for now… Cheers…

Here are some pictures from my road trip to Phillip Island with my dad on the first week I came to Melbourne… Phillip Island is supposed to be famous for their penguins… So the trip started from Melbourne of course… and it was a long long loooooong drive… maybe only because we decided to take a long route because we wanted to go see the different towns along the coast…

The first place we stopped was Frankston… nothing much there as you can see… just the beach…

The second town we stopped by was Mornington… I liked the scenery around Mornington… really pretty…

Then we went off to San Remo which was the last town before we crossed over to Phillip Island… my dad said that the cappuccino he had was really good…

Went directly to the spot where the penguins nested and found out we had to pay a bomb to see them… but anyway it was still early so we decided to return later… and on the way to the next spot we stopped at a cliff over looking Cowrie Beach… there is absolutely nothing there…

The next place was The Nobbies which is just a pile of rocks really but it’s supposed to be where the seals hang out…

I was looking all over the place for the seals until I saw the following sign…

And this is where the seals gather… in the far distance where you can’t see them…

The last place we stopped before we went back to see the penguins was Cowes… had dinner there as well…
